Thank you for your interest in being a part of the Seattle Mini Maker Faire!
The next step for participating in the Seattle Mini Maker Faire is to fill out an application that tells us more about your project. Individuals, businesses, non-profit organizations, young makers, as well as groups, such as hobbyist clubs and schools are all encouraged to apply. We particularly encourage exhibits that are interactive and that highlight the process of making things.

Application Open: April 5
Application Deadline: June 26
Acceptance Notifications: By July 18
Maker Load-In: Friday, September 15 (afternoon/evening)
Maker Faire Event Dates: Saturday, September 16–Sunday, September 17, 10:00am–5:00pm
Load-Out: Sunday, September 17 (evening)
The Seattle Mini Maker Faire venue includes the Museum of Pop Culture and additional outdoor space on Seattle Center’s Next 50 Plaza.
Types of Maker Exhibitors
- Maker Exhibit – An all-weekend exhibit to demo your project(s) (includes non-commercial and small business commercial makers). Exhibitors can indicate if they would prefer a booth and/or host workshops. Hands-on and interactive exhibits are encouraged.
- Performer/Presenter – A scheduled presentation or performance (10, 20, or 30 minutes in length), or indicate that you’d like to be a roaming presenter.
- Sponsor – Start-ups and established companies that would like to have greater Maker Faire visibility and want to support the local maker community please email AmandaS@MoPOP.org for more information on becoming a sponsor.

- Makers can fill out more than one proposal and more than one category if desired.
- Please select a quality photo of your project or yourself to include with your application.

Maker Exhibit Form:
For maker groups and organizations, please have a point person to coordinate your efforts. Please note that most this year’s Seattle Mini Maker Faire booths will be outdoors at the Seattle Center Next 50 Plaza. Some tenting will be provided, and some exhibitors may be asked to provide their own shelter. More details provided upon acceptance.
Maker exhibits can also include these three sub-types:
There is no fee for individual makers that are not sales-focused at the event. Booths may be a 10’ x 10’ outdoor space or an 8’ x 8’ space, which includes one 6-foot table, two chairs, internet, and electrical if specified in your application. If a larger space is required, please specify in your project description and we will take this into consideration while reviewing applications.
Booth Fee: FREE
Non-Profit, Cause, or Mission-Based Associations, Institutions, and Organizations
Some organizations may qualify for special reduced rates. This fee does not apply to makerspaces, hackerspaces, or youth maker groups, which receive free exhibit space at Seattle Mini Maker Faire. Booths may be a 10’ x 10’ outdoor space or an 8’ x 8’ space, which includes one six-foot table, two chairs, internet, and electrical if specified in your application.
Note: To apply for reduced rates, scholorships, and grants, indicate the type of organization and any pertinent details in space provided in the application. We will take this into consideration during review. Limited scholarships and grants are available to support organizations that inspire people of all ages to make things.
Booth Fee: $100 (due August 1)
Individuals, small businesses, and start-ups who would like to sell or market products along with their maker demonstration should indicate they are a Commercial Maker in their application. Booths may be a 10’ x 10’ outdoor space or an 8’ x 8’ indoor space, which includes one 6-foot table, two chairs, internet, and electrical if specified in your application.
Please Note: Established, larger businesses do not qualify for this category, but we do offer great sponsor benefits for established businesses and start-ups that want greater visibility and exposure. Please visit Sponsors for information on becoming a sponsor.
Commercial Maker Booth Fee: $200 (standard booth)
Individuals that would like to talk about an idea or project of interest to the maker community, or demonstrate what they made and how it works, should apply and indicate their set, demo, or presentation time (10, 20, or 30 minutes in length), or indicate that they’d like to be a roaming presenter.
Any maker-spirited entertainers may apply to perform at Seattle Mini Maker Faire.
Immediately following your submission, you will receive an application confirmation email. If you don’t receive this email, contact us at makerfaire@MoPOP.org
Accepted makers with further details will be sent via email by July 18, 2017. Email updates and your Maker Agreement will be sent in advance of the Faire to give you ample time to plan for the event.
