The Hover Cart combines the propulsion and movement methods of hovercraft and electrical vehicles. The hovercraft uses an extremely simple design to create a smooth seal against a ground surface and an air cushion for low friction. When the hovercraft is active, it lifts the vehicle’s four wheels up in the air so that they don’t touch the ground, and when it is turned off, batteries and an electric motor allow the vehicle to be driven like a go-kart. Its simple, smooth lines and economic design are very impressive, especially given that it was designed and built by a 10-year-old.
